Designed for new and veteran SmartLab™ Facilitators, the Advanced Facilitator Development Conference prepares STEM K-12 educators to support and facilitate student learning and skills development for career and college readiness. AFDC participants gain experience and knowledge of instructional strategies and the principles of project-based learning, develop expertise with a variety of advanced technologies, participate in authentic STEM practices, and learn to integrate cross-cutting concepts and content. Matt Dickstein

Creative Learning Systems
Matthew Dickstein has been a successful entrepreneur in the field of education for over 30 years.  He is currently CEO of Creative Learning Systems, a leading provider of STEM centers for schools.  Prior to joining CLS, he played key roles in building National Technological University, an accredited distance learning university, and ELS Language Centers, the largest teacher of intensive English language programs in the U.S.

He managed the successful sale of Creative Learning Systems to a private equity firm in 2017 and sales of ELS Language Centers and National Technological University and to strategic acquirers in 1997 and 2002 respectively.

Matthew received a B.S. in Business from the University of Colorado and holds an M.B.A from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Larimer County Food Bank and the Englewood School District STEM advisory council. He is an avid hiker, biker and skier.
